Your Favorite Louisiana Memories
Visiting my family as when I was young in Holly Ridge and West Monroe (and surrounding areas!). The beignets and iced coffee at the Cafe Du Monde. Banana Banshee daquiris in the French Quarter...hehe. My fondest memories were as a child - going to Baton Rouge, watching the Tigers play, and hanging out with the players at the "L" club after the games. Loved the Strawberry Festival in Ponchatoula. Hearing my mom (gulfbreeze8) tell the story of Marie Laveau over and over. I know I'm forgetting some, but they're all my favorites. (:

 Your Hurricane Story
My parents lost their home in Camille before I was born (and my brother lost his first dog, Gumbo). I do remember always evacuating in my childhood. Once we came back home and one of our brick pillars next to our driveway (the kind with the lanterns on top) was knocked over! Very thankful we didn't lose anyone in Katrina, but quite a few family members lost their homes along the coast.
