I love the beauty all around Acadian Louisiana. The culture is so rich and colorful. The people are beautiful and proud. They make you proud to be a part of Louisiana. The food is so rich, flavorful and spicy. No one can cook and party like the Cajuns. I can't get enough of Crawfish, Gumbo, Crabs, Shrimp, Cracklings, Boudin and I could go on and on. Louisiana has charm, style and is the best spot on a map. Everything I learn about my home makes me wish I was born a native here. Your Hurricane Story Hurricane Betsy I remember when I was a child--having to go the school to stay and the winds so spooky--then silence--brought goose bumps to my skin. Hurricane Rita was a shocker for this area and I remember the hours on the road just to get to Shreveport--My home was still standing after but got shook pretty bad on the inside--still trying to repair the damage.
